STORY
The team at Trauma Aware Care is made up of experts in Education, Social Care, Neuroscience, Youth Justice, Fostering, Adoption, Parenting, Neurodivergence & Wellbeing. The team are all passionate about providing high quality support, training, consultancy, programme development and coaching steeped in evidence and research but most importantly from lived experience and genuine personal and professional understanding.
Helen Fearn, founder of Trauma Aware Care, began her career as a primary school teacher and SENDCO before becoming a foster carer and adopter and retraining firstly to support her own family but this training led to supporting others and over time the development of Trauma Aware Care - therapeutic training organisation. Trauma Aware Care offers 1-2-1 support, group and whole organisation training, consultancy and coaching, delving into both theory and practical tools to empower you when working with children and young people affected by trauma.
